U10 Team At Walden Winter Classic
Timmins Ringette Association’s U10’s attended the Walden Winter Classic during the Walden Winter Carnival the weekend of February 10-11. These budding ringette stars had a great weekend.
They played a series of 3 games over the weekend.
The first game against the Walden Spruce Devils was tough one, Timmins played hard keeping the game close in the first half but the Devils ultimately won with a final score 10-5.
Game 2 was against Sudbury Demore. Timmins kept up the pace with Sudbury but were unable to get many shots past the Sudbury goalie. Sudbury took the game with a 5-2 win.
Game 3 Timmins was against Walden Young. It was a close first half with Timmins staying neck and neck against Walden but Timmins was unable to keep up the stamina in the second period and Walden pulled away with a 9-4 win.
These young ringette players didn’t let a loss dampen their spirits. They had a great weekend bonding with fellow teammates, displaying great sportsmanship and having FUN! Great work Tornadoes!
