Tornadoes Touch Down At Richmond Hill Tournament
Another great Tournament Weekend February 10-11 for the Timmins Tornadoes U16A and U19A teams who attended the Richmond Hill Ringette Tournament.
U16A
The Timmins Tornadoes U16A team had a strong start to the tournament winning their first game against the Guelph Predators 5-3. Their second game was against Richmond Hill Lightning’s where they played strong achieving a 9-1 win. Game three was a tight one against Gloucester Cumberland Devils but Timmins was ultimately edged out 2-3. Game four was a tough one against Dorchester Dragons ending in a loss 3-6. Even with a tough second day Timmins eared themselves a spot in the Semi-Finals against the Dorchester Dragon, it was a hard fight, but the Dorchester Dragon’s ultimately moved on to the finals and the Tornadoes finished with a loss 2-6 ending the tournament in a hard fought and well-deserved 4th place.
U19A
The Timmins Tornadoes U19A team had a great tournament coming out on top with a gold metal! Their first game was against London Lynx where they played strong achieving a 7-5 win. Game two against Richmond Hill Lightning’s resulted in a 4-2 win. In game three against the Nepean Ravens Timmins played hard and secured a 4-1 win. Timmins continued their winning streak with game four against Paris Thunder resulting in a 6-3 win, securing them a spot in the finals. The finals saw the Tornadoes go up against Paris Thunder once more and the Tornadoes played strong securing a win 6-3 and well-deserved gold metal. This is the third tournament and third Gold Metal win for the Timmins U19A team this season!🥇🥇🥇
